While not the focus of my article, I heartily endorse your ideas. There is no research I’m aware of that suggests women are not genetically disposed towards mathematics. Yet both research and experience suggest that social attitudes perpetuate a gender divide. It’s a vicious cycle — the fewer women engaged in maths, the less likely others are to buck the trend.

Bringing it back to the article, art should be an entitlement for anyone, regardless of gender, race or creed. The same must therefore be said of mathematics.
